Meet The Team

The J. Alexander Company was founded by John Schoenfeld in 1983 and incorporated in 1989. Our portfolio includes projects of all types and sizes, ranging from high-end homes and estates, to hotels, office buildings, shopping centers, showrooms, restaurants, and industrial parks, including projects locally and abroad.

John Alexander Schoenfeld

John’s experience comprises nearly thirty five years and over One Billion Dollars of construction, design and development expertise. John graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with degrees in architecture and construction management and has since worked in all aspects of construction, from union laborer and journeyman carpenter, to running type-I high-rise construction projects. John’s talents are often sought out for construction dispute support and he is an ICM-certified arbitrator, mediator and ADR neutral.

Chris Reinsch

A second generation builder and lead in the Concierge Home Maintenance division, Chris enjoys 30 years experience in construction. He learned the trades from his father, and developed a natural instinct for precision and detail. Chris has been a licensed general contractor for over twenty years. He has been a hands-on builder, owned a fine wood work mill and cabinetry shop, and has assumed supervisory and project management roles since the late 80’s. Chris joined The J. Alexander Company in 2005 where he oversees its field work ensuring quality and timeliness on all J. Alexander projects

Victoria Schoenfeld

After raising their 2 sons, Victoria joined the business in 1996 which she manages, together with John. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts from UCLA and attended graduate school at UCLA’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning. Victoria served on the Board of Directors at Bay Cities National Bank for 15 years and has been, and remains, active in numerous community service and philanthropic organizations.
